Pre-Dawn DarknessThis is my favorite time of the day, before the sun comes up. In the still darkness I plan the day, sip my coffee, log in my "morning pages", catch up on correspondence and generally gather my thoughts. This energizes me and prepares me to take on the activity of the day to come.
I'm ready, bring it on...

Morning has broken, like the first morningBlackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning

Praise for the springing fresh from the world

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning

Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day

Good Morning!

Life is Good!

It's no wonder I was drawn to the photo accessed through Google Images, it's dawn breaking over the Saleve! Small world.

Good morning!

Just finished (or am finishing, I suppose) my blog rounds for the day. Still dark outside, we're an hour behind you. So I'll likely watch the sun rise on the way into the office today. It's cold, about 30 degrees (so long garden), but I love the way the cold makes the air seem cleaner.

We got our first snow yesterday. Only stuck for about an hour. But it's a good start. Rebecca lost it, screaming incoherently with joy.

Today looks to be a good day... never bad to kick things off with a little Cat Stevens. I actually learned to play that song years ago on Grandma's organ... There's a blast from the past.

Have a blessed day, time to go catch that sunrise.

P.S. Thanks...
