What Would Happen?

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell Phones?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it as we traveled?

What if we used it in case of an emergency?

What if we upgraded it to get the latest version?

This is something to make you go…hmmm…where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don’t ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill!

This is a great post. How often do I sit and try to figure a way out of a problem and think of who I could call? All I needed to do was pick up the Verizon Bible.

"Can you hear my prayer now?"
"Good!"

I'm a nerd. I actually have three with me right now. I brought mine in to the office from home because I lost mine at the office. Then in the process of finding the one I lost (bookshelf, how'd that happen?) I found one I didn't even realize I had lost.

The last one is super cool. It's tiny, and in the rather unforgiving King James version, but it is old (1962 I think) and says on the inside cover "Our Love to Ken, from Earl and Joy", and there is a photo in there and I think it's my great grandfather but I'm not sure. He was a minister, right?

P.S. Please note that being born in 1962 means you're old for a Bible, but you could be born WAY before that and still be super young, especially in spirit. :)

Rev. M. Arthur Johnson was your great grandfather, a Lutheran Pastor, (who preached in both Swedish and English,)and father to your sweet Grandma.

Just tonight I saw a couple bless their meal whilst both on their respective cell phones, presumably God was on the other end... *shakes his head*

"Damn! I gotta bless this meal. What a hassle. Can I put you on hold a second?"

Side note: I got busted by The Kiddo last night. Started eating without blessing first. Oops.

That remainds me of when mom used to tell me that the car would not move untill seatbelts were fastened. One day I very quietly released the belt just as her key hit the ignition. Much to my suprise the car still started and once we bagan to back up, I confessesd this little discovery of mine...
