Spring Cleaning

It's officially Spring!
That means Spring cleaning, right? My cleaning began yesterday, rather accidentally... I bought a quilt batt and wasn't quite ready to use it yet; while putting it into the cabinet I uncovered a plastic bag shoved way to the back, it was filled with an entire grouping of FQ's and additional yardage from the Sarah Johnson Collection of Shelburne Museum reproduction fabrics by RJR! I'm guessing the collection is approximately ten years old, I had completely forgotten about it! As if this discovery wasn't payment enough, it gets even better...
I found, folded up with these fabrics, thirty-six 5" blocks already pieced and ready to go! I set them together to create a table runner for the craft table in my studio and will baste and quilt it today! I love the way it looks and can already imagine a pretty porcelain pitcher filled with Spring flowers sitting on the top, completing the image and brightening the space! Does it get any better than this? Go ahead, dig in-- push up your sleeves and start your own Spring cleaning; you never know what treasures may be awaiting discovery at your house!

Life is Good!

You are very lucky to find these treasures in your cupboards. The only things I find in mine during Spring cleaning are moth balls and thread bits if I am lucky! Take care.

Ooooh, what a lovely 'find'! You're right, that's going to be a gorgeous tablerunner, and it will definitely need some flowers in a vase or pitcher on it! :)

Those kinds of finds are WONDERFUL! I'm dealing with the OPPOSITE right now -- things I know I have and CANNOT find! Indeed, spring cleaning is a necessity. But not until after my quilt retreat this weekend.

Wow, it is like a treasure hunt. How wonderful that you found that, and were able to quickly assemble the blocks into a table runner. It is like the quilting fairy has indeed come to your house. It is very pretty.
