Cutting, Stacking and Packing...

... for this weekend's quilt retreat at Black Mountain! Hannes, my 'Studio Manager', will be on duty here while I'm away! He looks like he can hold down the fort doesn't he? To tell you the truth it's almost like he knows I'm leaving for a few days... he's been even more of a little shadow this morning, if that's possible. I have a Stack and Whack planned, stay tuned for some photos of that... I've had the fabrics put back for awhile; they're now washed and pressed; cut and stacked, ready to sew. I've been eagerly preparing in anticipation of this sewing marathon weekend! I have my BOM's packed up for piecing too, and my bin of "strings" to sew together when I finish up everything else. Some snacks, some wine and some chocolate and I'm good to go!

Oh, yeah-- coffee mug, sweatshirt,
socks and a toothbrush...
Life is Good!

Have a fantastic weekend, hope the wine doesn't effect the sewing, LOL, look forward to seeing your photos.

Have a great weekend.....mine will be spent at a church council retreat. But I'm bringing wine too so hopefully it won't be too boring! ;-) Enjoy your stacking and whacking!

Just remember, don't operate a sewing machine under the influence of wine. I've seen some pretty bad puncture wounds in my day.

Since I can't have a dog of my own right now (international borders = quarantee!), I've adopted Hannes in my heart. I just love seeing his photo here and there!

Have fun at your retreat. Sounds like you have the packing part down pat!

Cheers!

Have a fun weekend. You get ready for retreat like I do: I cut and slice and dice so all I have to do is sew.

Have a great weekend!

Our pets are so sad when we leave and so happy when we return. Even when we leave for a few minutes.

Have fun! I see so many retreats scheduled at Black Mountain. It must be a really beautiful place. It's not too far from me, I don't think.

I'm sure Hannes will be very happy to see you when you get back! Yeah, don't forget that toothbrush. :)
