Got Furniture?

My daughter and her husband are looking to re-furnish their master bedroom. We're lucky enough to live close to a mega furniture display center, ONE MILLION square feet, all under one roof; 500 furniture manufacturers represented! She and I met up and spent the day looking there yesterday. I think we covered every inch of the place, I'm dragging today! The greatest part of traveling to this furniture mecca are not only the deep discounts, but the way that each grouping is beautifully staged in spacious room settings. At least now she's seen all of the choices! When you are spending money it's good to look at all the options, and those easily border on overwhelming!

It was a great day.

One million square feet under one roof? That is utterly amazing and incomprehesible. Amazing. I bet you would have to pack a lunch and hope you remembered where you came it so you could find your car again. Wow!!

I would definitely be overwhelmed but it still sounds like fun!

The most important thing to remember about furniture shopping - everything seems to fit so wonderfully in those HUGE showrooms with super high ceilings!!! Ummm - the rooms in my house certainly aren't that big so I always opt for things that look very small in the showroom and when I get them home they seem to magically grow! LOL. Still, it is fun to look at everything!

Cheers!

Wow -- I think I'm drooling.... do you need to carry a GPS? Rollerskates? If that set you pictured is any indication, it looks like beautiful stuff. Lucky you!

I would love to spend a day there. If I went with family I am sure I would find hubby and sons sitting and a comfortable couch watching sports.

I am staggered by the shops in Canada. Much bigger than Australia, it seems that US is the same in the big shop department. Every time I find a new shop it seems to get bigger. This furnture shop looks incredible. Imagine a fabric shop that big. Wow, that would be fantastic.
Have a great week.

At some point this question was asked at a meeting:

"What can we do with our entrance that just SCREAMS 'furniture store'?"

Sounds like one of those days that's as tiring as it is fun.

SOO big, unbelievable. I don´t think we could find something like that in Europe. It must have been fun though spending time with your DD for such a pleasent goal. I hope she found what she was looking for! Take care.
