Follow The Leaders (And Enders, Too)

I'm sewing more strings into more diamonds for even more string stars! Today I decided to grab up my bin of two inch squares while stitching away and create some bonus little two patches, employing Bonnie of Quiltville's Leader/Ender chain-piecing method. This made so much sense to me when I read about the technique, I have always used a thread "mouse" to start and stop sewing rows, why not have all that extra stitching pay off? Well, it does yield quite a bumper crop of dividends, and quickly too! Look at them all paired up there on the left. Next step? Four-patches. And sew it goes... (sorry, I couldn't help myself!) Thanks, Bonnie; you're a wonder!

Life is Good!

I knew I was sending my scraps to a good home! We missed you at bee last night. Quiltkeemosabe had a little quilt top put together using some of the scraps you shared with her. It was wonderful! Sharing is good all the way around!

I'm an overtime-by-choice elf too. Many a Christmas I have burned the midnight oil taking the last few stitches. It's part of the season for me. Besides, I'm waiting to see Santa!
