Our Hallo-Wiener

Hannes received a book for Halloween from his big, human, sister: The Hallo-Wiener by Dav Pilkey. Big sis is a second grade teacher, this book had received rave reviews from her class! The book is a story about a very brave dachshund, his name is Oscar. Hannes loves to be read to, he especially loves stories about brave little doxies, just like him! He loaned this book to his big, human brother's fiancée, she teaches kindergarten. Her students loved the story so much that they, in turn, sent Hannes a big basket of bones (with their names written on each one) as a thank you! Hannes loves to share, (just ask the cat!) so much so, that he wanted me to share his good fortune with you today. I'm more than happy to oblige.

Hooray for Hannes, whooooooo wouldn't like a book like that, especially one about adorable Doxies!!
He is so cute, and i can't believe how good he is to pose for pics. Most human kids wouldn't do that good!
Take care, See ya.............

ahh how sweet! for sure, i'm going to have to print this pic out and show it to my little friends at school! :)

and su bee's comment made me laugh....cause we read it 4 times the first day (tuesday) and 3 more times the next day!
they did ask again on thursday, but i explained that hannes needed to read each night just like they did....so he needed his book back! :)

Hannes is a lucky dog! :) Maybe Hannes will have to go visit the thankful children? Does he like kids? Kids make my boys a little nervous, just because they aren't used to them.

No it's not a competition, I just thought a twofer-one rehearsal dinner would be fun!
Bentley says to tell Hannes he is jealous about the bones. He did not get anything special for Halloween.

I'll remember your book Hannes! I'm always on the look out for good books to read to my kindergarten kids too.

Hannes is such a handsome boy and lucky to get all those autographed bones! Shelby keeps asking for dum-dums (she got to lick a cotton candy flavored one and thought it was yummy) but poor girl...she doesn't know that all the dum dums will be going on quilt retreat next week!

Hi Mrs Goodneedle, just had to pop over and say 'hello' and thank you for your continued suppost and nice comments.
I've been missing alot by not visiting your blog! Bad Finn!
Your doxi is adorable..love the pic of him on the quilt with yellow.
And his very own book? How wonderful and how clever it's about more doxies! he's a lucky pup!
The engaged couple look so very sweet and so very happy. One almost wouldn't need any explaination..right ? *VBS* Congratulations!
The new bag is just gorgeous...love the brighter colors. I bought a new bag pattern yesterday at the quilt store. It's called Isabella and uses 2.5" squres and yo-yo's. can't wait to get started. Keep up the wonderful work, big hugs, Finn

my friends loved the picture....
one of them looked at it and questioned...."ms. kyle?"
it made me wonder....do they wonder if the dog is kyle or if the dog is kyle's dog....
