As Easy As...

it can be; it's really a piece o' cake! I wanted to share this recipe, it's both simple and delicious. I baked it yesterday for my Circle meeting. We meet at 10:30 AM and it's always a challenge to find a mid-morning snack that's not too sweet. This was perfect, evidenced by the little bit that made it back home! Kyle finished this bit off for "breakfast" today! I found this recipe online.

EASY LEMON POPPY SEED CAKE
1 box lemon cake mix
1 box instant lemon pudding
1/4 cup poppy seeds
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup softened butter
3 eggs
Blend all ingredients. Grease and flour Bundt pan (or a bread pan). Pour batter in pan and spread it around evenly. Bake at 350°F for 35-45 minutes.

We've had some weird weather lately, not unlike the rest of the country; positively Spring-like here. On my way to the paint store today (the on-going Studio project... why there's been no sewing posts!) I saw this; he was about to turn left onto a major thoroughfare in town! (You're going to have to take my word for it, I know it doesn't appear to be heavily traveled in this photo...) Weird behavior, seeing as this vehicle only goes about 15 MPH at top speed; can we blame the weather on this too? This driver was turning onto a section of road highly populated by restaurants that are frequented by impatient business people on their lunch hours. It was noon-time. I'm glad I wasn't going the same direction, this was a disaster waiting to happen!

Life is Good!
~sometimes easy, sometimes weird, but always GOOD!~

I grew up in a farming community . . . you quickly become used to plodding along behind a tractor *s*

Yum! I may have to stop by the grocery store on my way home from work! (yes, it's after 9 p.m. and I'm at work...but so is Shelby and DH so it's okay.) I just hope THAT guy isn't still out there on the road somewhere!

Thanks for the recipe!
