Time Out

Yes, this is Mrs. Goodneedle's temporary "time out" from the blogging world. No, not for naps, (what's that?) like Turbo's; just day-to-day livin'! You know how it is...

First, there's a LOT going on right now, hence the lack of posts, bear with me. I'm spread a little thin with challenges in both my personal and church lives. I have no doubt that this, too, will pass... with time.

Second, good news: the switch on the sewing machine was, indeed, located. (Thanks, Hannes!) I managed to get two 'Next Door Neighbor" blocks sewn for block-of-the month class yesterday, what a relief to get some much needed needle and thread therapy.

Lastly, Quiltkeemosabe and I practiced some retail rehabilitation for an upcoming quilt class this past Monday, we had a blast gathering fabrics and assisting each other in our choices. Mine will be traditional; hers, not so much! She chose wildly cheerful, bright colors and carried home a whole bagful of "happy". (Compare/contrast below.) Our class is an album class, one of demanding piecing and intensive applique; we'll be together for a year, meeting monthly. We'll attend the preview class on Sunday, you can be sure that I'll post photos from that event! This class is just the treatment I need, when I need it the most. I do what I can, you understand, solely for the health benefits!
Life is Good!

You are going to thoroughly enjoy the album class. I know I did. It's nice to slow down and enjoy the process. I think we all need to apply that same principle to our lives as well every now and then.

What gets done gets done. The rest...eh, whatever! (I'm talking to myself as much as you here.)

Take care!

You know -- everyone needs a break sometimes. Take it easy on yourself, do what you can, and don't worry about bloggers. We'll be here when you get back :0).

The scriptures say "it came to pass......" it didn't come to stay.

Such beautiful fabrics - I am looking forward to seeing these quilts come to life! There's nothing better than fabric retail therapy, is there? Except for quality time at the sewing machine!!
Love the kitty picture, too!
