How Will You Spend...

...National Quilting Day today? I have solid plans, concrete; unmovable. Do you detect a certain rigidness on this subject? Good. That's the intention. I'm cutting today; all day if that's what it takes. I'll cut every single piece that remains for the wedding signature quilt and piece blocks if there's any left-over time. I'll keep piecing from today on, until all the blocks are done. The sewing part is mindless once I get them all laid out beside the machine.

Sundance II arrived yesterday. My husband installed her and called me just before church council meeting began last evening to inform me that the stitch-regulator function was working: A-OK! I will ship the original Sundance back to Iowa on Monday. I took "No Gray Areas" off the rails and will trim it up and bind it ASAP. I'll be loading "Kaleidoscope Stars" onto Sundance II next week, stay tuned. My first long arm attempts weren't all that bad, I'm settling into the groove. All things in their own time. Enjoy your Quilting Day today, however you choose to spend it.
10. Take one day at a time.
Life is Good!

Yep, the prospect of severe weather has postponed our club's Sunset Hike today...so I have hours back! The next $5 block is my goal! I love finding hours almost as much as having them scheduled out (as long as its fun stuff and not work) Enjoy Sundance II

Your black and white quilt is gorgeous! I'm working at the shop today, the weather is beautiful, so there are hardly any customers- Easter holidays have started, which means most people are out skiing, not shopping. This gives me plenty of time to sew. I'm working on pillows and a tablerunner today, using new fabrics and a new pattern that arrived yesterday. Have a great "cutting day" !
Hugs :-)

Good luck with 'Sundance II', I am anxiously waiting for your report! National Quilt Day will be spent quilting with DGD, I love having time with her (quilting time is 'our' time), but today we will declare THE DAY as chatting about 'how far we have come'!!

I ordered my copy of The Quilters Catalog from Amazon, I had a GC to use and loved your previous blog entry with the suggestion! I will let you know how much I LOVE IT ~ LOL!

HAPPY NATIONAL QUILTERS DAY!

Because our weather changes so fast and today is forecasted to be balmy, I am off to Capital City to work in the condo and visit Auntie. But, tomorrow will be my own private quilting day. Does that count?

No Grey Areas looks so great! You are a natural at this, just I knew you would be.

I will be piecing my BOMs today and cutting out a quilt that is a to be a graduation gift for the daughter of one of my mother's friends. It's a quick pattern so I'm betting I will get it pieced today too if I will get up NOW, get a cup of tea and get to work!

Have fun today!

My fabric is half a world away since I am in the States visiting my mom and dad. I must admit that I called home today and asked my daughter how my fabric was doing. She thought that was pretty funny but being the daughter of a quilter she knew enough to go and take a peek at it and told me all was well. Enjoy your day cutting!!!!

Oops, I almost forgot National Quilting Day. I have a tendency to remember things until it is time to remember them. Hmmm, will have to think of something special.

This quilt is gorgeous. You do such great work!

Like Libby I am "celebrating" National Quilt Day on Monday. A friend is coming over and we are cutting out her first quilt! Then on Tuesday I am celebrating with some other quilters making teacozies and table runners. Then on Wednesday...hey, it is quilting week!!!!

*chuckling* When I read this blog title, "How will you spend..." my mind filled in the last part to read, "Eternity?" Singing Hosannahs as a child of the King!
