It's Been Awhile...

... since I have been shopping for a baby; but, with a grandson on the way I'm back in the game BIG TIME and enjoying every single minute! Aren't these the cutest things ever? They're foot rattles! I love them. He needs them. My shopping list is growing; he needs this cute little sign for his doorknob, don't you think? The list could go on and on... we have time. He's not arriving until August, that's good, I have his quilts to make. Yes, quiltS, plural; it's what I do! I already have a few fabrics selected for a couple of projects, here's a peek:and of course he'll need a Picture Play quilt, and one with Minkee pets, and some special "quiet books"... I'd better get stitchin'! He will be receiving one very warm, soft, welcome to this world! And, if you think about it, isn't that the very best way to be received; all warm and soft and loved?
Life is Good!

The new GS is going to be the best dressed boy around. He is so-o-o lucky to have a GM like you. Oh...what's he going to call you Grammie, Grand, Grandmother?

Where I live, the preferred name seems to be "Mimi" ~ then there's Honey and Pops, Nana and Papa, but hardly anyone uses Grandma... such regional differences.

I would have THE hardest time resisting all the adorable items out there... those booties are WONDERFUL. Predictions for us are no grandchildren, only granddoggies, so I am especially savoring your anticipation from afar!!

HUUUMMMMM! Where did the booties come from? I haven't seen those,And you are so right your new GS will definitely need those...Tooooo cute. And the fabric is just right, all the quilts you make will be beautiful, I am sure, can't wait to see more. What pattern are you going to use when you use the jelly roll??
Whatever he calls you will be just right, I have 3 G-Kids, all call me something different. Oldest Gs calls me Grandma, Second GS calls me Nana and the youngest (Granddaughter) calls me Mammaw..
It really doesn't matter what they call you, you will love it! Take care , quilt lots of Memories, J

You'll have to teach him to do the hokey pokey with his little booties on. They are SWEET!

You're off to a good Grammie start, I do believe. Let me say that it's quite addicting and the most fun you will ever have, being a Gramma, I mean. Life IS good!

Oh so cute. Our baby boy grandson is arriving July/August too! I have also been collecting things, and fabrics to make quilts. A friend gave me a cute burp towel pattern that is shaped kind of like
a dog bone so I have been making those out of flannel. So much fun!
