What's Being Served?

The following blurb was in our church bulletin on Sunday. Somehow I have my doubts about the refreshments, but there's been an emphasis on boosting attendance at these church women's gatherings so perhaps this is one way to do just that!

Hmmm...maybe our fellowship could take a few sips (errr, I mean tips) from your fellowship gathering.

Gotta love those church bulletin typos!!!

Gin at 9:15 in the morning?! I'm just not tough enough to be Lutheran!

M-m-m-m. Being a Lutheran is going to be fun! This wasn't mentioned in "The Lutheran Handbook" Ex-victor Anna gave me this past weekend.

I grew up Lutheran and became an Episcopalian...

This would not be atypical in a gathering of Episcopal church women though we tend to wait to drink until a little later in the day!

LOL. Sounds like a good 'Headline' for Jay Leno's bit. Our church only serves coffee and fruit drinks... *s*

Just proves that proof reading is even more imperative with spell check. Very funny *s*

Oh, funny! That reminds me of a cute little book I stuck in my mother's Christmas stocking this year -- "Roadside Church Signs Across America." Lots of little slips like that. :)

Isn't there an old saying like that? If there is to be peace on earth, then let it be gin with me? Yep, that works.
