For The Record...

... we do not have a home bereft of photographs of our son, far from it! This, for all of you who thought I should have put Kyle up on display. He just doesn't get to have his bridal portrait on the dining room wall! I have ordered a good number of wedding photos of Kyle and will post them here in the days to come, he was a very handsome groom, if I do say so myself! (...and NO, this is NOT a wedding picture!)

Much to Hannes' delight the cat has left to live with the newlyweds! Yep, Turbo's gone and so is Diesel. Kyle and his bride have opened their home to his two furry children. I helped Kyle to move some furniture from the attic, too. His boyhood chest of drawers and a nightstand that we'd been storing will provide some much needed storage in their new home together. In all this excitement I somehow completely missed a longtime scheduled doctor's appointment! The office nurse called to check on me several hours after the appointed time; at first I was oblivious to what she was asking; and then, when it dawned on me, I was embarrassed beyond belief! I had completely and totally forgotten, that kind of thing has never happened to me before, and I hope it never does again! We rescheduled for next week, all the while I was profusely apologizing. Oh, my, too many things going on for this one small brain to handle. Geez!

My husband and I are off to Savannah for the weekend, we're celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary on Saturday. We haven't been there before and are looking forward to exploring the city and discovering what new adventures await us.

Hannes will assist me in drawing a winner in my 400th post giveaway on Tuesday. It's not too late to enter, do so by leaving a comment here. It's quiet around Chez Goodneedle, even though my best little canine buddy may not agree, I really do miss the multi-pet dynamic that existed. Nothing like a good game of 'chase the kitty' to keep things lively! Hannes has spent the last two afternoons comfortably napping, with both eyes closed! (Something he hasn't been able to do for the past fourteen months.)

Life is Good!

I think we've all had a time when something has slipped right off the calendar in the midst of a busy time. I've missed a haircut appointment, and then there was the time the doorbell rang and when I answered, there was the piano tuner. I had remembered in the morning that he was coming, but by afternoon, he was a big surprise! Good thing I was even home! You've had a lot to remember in the last few weeks, and I'm sure the office nurse understood how busy you've been being the mother of the groom. Your weekend away will refresh you and sync up your mental calendar again. ;-)

Have a wonderful weekend away. Doesn't seem like 33 years......

Happy Anniversary! Big hugs for you both!

May the dazzle of Savannah highlight that special essence of "knowing one another" which I can only imagine 33 Years together must be about, at least on some level.

Respecting Your Anniversary with Love, *karendianne.

(ps: is Sundance getting lonely?)

You will miss the cat hair on your quilts....I know! Maybe Hannes will change his mind too and you all will get a kitty of your own someday. Of course he could start off with a kitten this time, and show him from the get go who is really king! Have a great time in Savannah, Go Postal and I stopped by last year on the way back from Dad's and really enjoyed just strolling through the parks and looking at the homes.

I would like to visit Savannah. One of my favorite webshots pictures (Pro Gallery) is a park in Savannah with the Azaleas in bloom. Are you going to visit Paula Deen's restaurant? Have a good trip and a happy anniversary.

I smiled at the portrait story. Now you need one of both couples to balance them
Both lovely Brides.
Hannes will be able to relax in peace now, bless him!
