Goin' Wild This Weekend...

My daughter and I are becoming Wild Women, once again, this weekend! It's time for our annual trip up the mountain to our church camp and conference center near Asheville. Always relaxing, spirit-renewing and inspirational; these Wild Women retreats are such a great time to reconnect with old friends, new friends and each other. There's fellowship, fun and delicious food as well as Bible study and quiet time. I'm looking forward to some rocking-chair-on-the-porch time, too; to welcome the sights and sounds of Spring in the majesty of God's creation. This weekend will all too soon be over and the hustle and bustle of everyday life will seep in once again, I know that. But for this one weekend, in a place apart, I will revel in the opportunity to explore and understand what God means to me and how I might become a better witness to Him!

Life is Good!
...For God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom,
and God's weakness is stronger than human strength... -
1 Corinthians 1:25

I hope you and your daughter have a wonderful time! Retreats are such a special time to disconnect briefly with the "real" world and reconnect with what is really important. How special it will be to spend it with your daughter. Have a blessed weekend!:)

I know she treasures this time even more now that she is a mother too. Makes me look forward to quilting at Black Mt in May!

So very special to have the quality time with your daughter, and to have the spirit lifting time with the Lord for both of you! To reconnect with your inner-self is vital!
