A Happy Surprise!

I'll admit it, I'm a hand lotion snob. I have spent tons of money on small tubes that promise big results and have only wound up being disappointed. Not this time! I discovered Vaseline intensive rescue moisture locking lotion through a free sample attached to another product. Skeptical, I tossed it in my travel bag to try later. I was surprised at how well it absorbed and I really liked the fact that it was unscented. After the second or third try I was sold; my hands felt great, they were soft, and this lotion was quick to rub in. It met all my criteria and it's readily available at a super reasonable price! I like the marketing idea on this one, the quiet confidence of giving small amounts away. I guarantee you that I would not have tried this without the free sample; the least I can do is pass along my happy findings!

(I believe a better name might for this lotion might be Serendipity!)

My husband likes that lotion as well. His hands get so dry in the winter that the skin cracks. He did not want to use any of my lotions for the obvious fragrance reasons, but I found this one, and now it is both of our favorites.

The burp cloths are just too cute. I know they haave to be a big hit when you give them to folks.

You know, I tried the local "store" brand of Vas. because I'm a consumer that likes to see where I can curb my cash. Generics can be real deals but OMG it had the worse after smell ever. I couldn't take it. But I didn't want to waste it so I used the stinkin' stuff.

For Christmas my friend bought me a new bottle of Vas. Inten. with a red bow (still has wrapped around it) and I don't know what happened to that generic stink.

I'll have to give it a try. That quick absorption is a high priority. At Mid-Atlantic, someone "made" us try the lotion they had for sale, beaming about how great it was. I never could get the stuff rubbed in and couldn't wait to get the room to wash it off. Yuck!

One of my favorite dry hand products has been Udder Butter from Walmart at very inexpensive cost. The best treatment for my very dry hands has been the wearing of rubber gloves when dishwashing (always!) and when using housecleaning products, the mildest soap available for general hand-washing, and, alas, the less fabric-handling I do, the better, for it really dries out my fingers and thumbs. I constantly am dealing with the small cracks and little painful splits. I do the best maintenance possible and wonder what condition they would be in if I wasn't. Oh my. I blame some of it on my thyroid condition and some on having dry skin, period.

I have always gravitated towards the Vaseline products. I don't know, they seem to work the best for me.

Thank you for the suggestion, I am bothered with dry, cracked hands and the fact that anything that I try DOES NOT rub in...well let's say I dislike that greasy feeling! I will try what you have suggested as soon as possible ~ OHHHH THANK YOU!!

Well that is a handy tip. It is nice when something actually works for a change.

I will show to Go Postal. His right hand is always a mess...sticking it out hundreds of times a day in the weather opening boxes. He will also love that its unscented.

I will look for this the next time I'm in the States. I've been using more hand lotion just because my hands are so dry they slide across the quilt when I'm trying to do machine quilting instead of encouraging the quilt to go through!

I like this brand, too. I am a "snob" myself when it comes to lotion, as I have dry skin when the weather is cold, and I want something that works! My hubby uses that lotion, too, and likes it very much. The best thing is, we can buy it at Costco for a fraction of the regular store price!
