While I Was Piecing...

... the latest blocks of the month together I ended up with this children's quilt as a dividend! I placed a pile of four inch squares beside my machine and joined them at the start and finish of every seam I was stitching, (Bonnie Hunter's "leader/ender" method) and before too long I had rows, and then, a finished top! I will take this to church with me this morning and the ladies of our Quilt Ministry will tie it and finish it off to the delight of a deserving child. If you haven't tried this technique it's worth considering, click on the link above for instructions. A little "prep" time pays off in a big way, you'll simply be amazed at just what can happen while you were piecing!

Life is Good!

Isn't it wonderful to get two for the work of one? Just a wee bit of effort really pays off. Good Job!!!

I've never taken to the Leader/Ender but with this cutie here, I'm thinking I'm missing out!!!

I am a leader ender flunkie... I just don't sew like that... Right now I have two "blocks" sewn together in my machine waiting for the next two. (My sewing machine virtually lives in that state...)

& then there is the prep time....

But I love the quilt that you made!

I do like the leader/ender technique when I remember to do it. That quilt is so bright and cheerful, just what a child would like.

OOOHHH What a beautiful and fun quilt!!! This is what I should be making now playing around with all my strange triangles and blocks. Your lovely quilt is just perfect for a child's charity quilt.

I do this too, & it is a great way to get a 'free' quilt!
Some lucky child is going to just adore this bright quilt!

I am taking up that leader and ender technique. Just think how many quilts a person could finish.
