Wonder

Quiltkeemosabe takes care of me; she knows just what I need, when I need it. She gave me this book last week when we were on our way to a local quilt show together. She told me that she was reading it and immediately knew that she had to buy me my own copy to keep. I am deeply grateful, because, she was so right about that!! This book is a compilation of stories and experiences that point up exactly what is GOOD about life. "In these warm, life-affirming stories, Gordon celebrates the beauty hidden in things that usually don't merit a second glance: an epitaph on a headstone in an ancient cemetery, a small boy's first glimpse of shooting stars, and a legacy of love found in the dusty, faded letters of an ancestor. These are a few of the "endless free gifts that life offers," if we learn to accept them."* You can't put it down after reading any portion without feeling joy, happiness, contentment; that's a guarantee. I always feel the same way after the two of us spend time together, she's the kind of friend who always understands me, I just feel good after I've been with her. It doesn't matter what we do or how often we see each other, we always pick back up where we left off without missing a beat, I treasure her and our friendship. I know that I will pick this book up again and again, it's that good; and it reminds me of how very blessed I am!

Life is Good!

I second that! Quiltkeemosabe is a great friend. I just wish we lived closer so we could spend more time together. What would we do without our friends?

I don't know this book but I have another book by Arthur Gordon called a Touch of Wonder that I don't know how many 10's of times I've read over and over.
