Independence Day 2009

You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave.
You're the emblem of
The land I love.
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true
'neath the Red, White and Blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the grand old flag.

No that's totally darn cool. That made me really happy! I'm signing. I think I might sing this tune all day.

In my head with Love, *karendianne.

Well, starting reading and ending up singing. Fantastic start to our day!

That song will always conjure up sweet memories of my youngest as a second grader in the class pageant...imagine 120 or so kids marching into the auditorium singing that! *sigh* :-)

OH YES, and the words of this song will remain in my head, and hummed many times during the day! May you and your family have a wonderful Independence Day, and many days to come!

Thanks to all those who made the sacrifice to keep Old Glory waving high and free!
