Check-up, Check Off!

So, I had this great idea for the month of May, I would get current on all of my medical check-ups; easy enough, right? The Eye Exam was first and kicked off all the rest. Check. Next was my GYN visit, which also prompted a Mammogram to be scheduled, with the Radiology department. Check, check. In order to get an appointment with my PCP I needed to schedule lab work first, a week ahead. Check, check. I presented myself at the Dentist's office last Wednesday for a cleaning, that led to a new set of X-rays, for the record. Check, check. My PCP directed me back to Radiology to set-up an appointment for a Bone Density Scan, that is scheduled for today. Check. Next week I have an appointment for an Ultrasound at the Vascular Lab to take a look at the arterial graft behind my right knee, it just celebrated it's five year anniversary. Check. That takes care of the month, it's a good thing I allotted that much time. Now, after all that driving I'm sure it's the car's turn for a check-up! It's no wonder I don't have any quilts ready for show and tell in May! Seriously, I'm as healthy as can be and recognize that for the fortunate blessing that it is. Are you due (or over-due) for any check-ups? Make yourself a check-list and gas up the car, time's a wastin'!

One thing leads to another -- no wonder it is taking a whole month! I think you MIGHT be entitled to a visit with the masseuse this month, too . . . .

Glad you're in top-shape and now you can move on to the fun things in the sewing room. :)

I started this toward the end of last month. Still have the GYN and mamo to do, but today is dentist.

I just did this and now the bills are rolling in. I keep telling myself the peace of mind is worth it! I really am aware that I am so blessed to have good health. Glad you are doing well... you'll be sewing up a storm soon!

October is my annual month of medical mayhem ... cardio doc, gyn stuff, eyes, etc. (you're right - it DOES take a whole month!)

Please do be careful and keep your keys at hand. I did many of the things you have done one year and then left my house keys elsewhere and had to climb a neighbouring fence and through a Nectarine tree so that I could get to the hidden key, all the while I was thinking I would end up in hospital with every bone broken, the dog didn't help me either she barked while I was scaling the fence and licked me to death when I reached the ground.
