Mealtime Mantra

Almost a year ago I posted about this idea for a wall quilt for our eating area in the kitchen after playing around with EQ6. All good things become reality in their own time and that time has finally arrived! This was an oft repeated phrase at our dinner table when I was growing up. It was fun to watch this idea take shape as it grew and ripened on the design wall. I really enjoyed filling the "jars", and placing each one accordingly. I think that Mason, as well as future grandchildren, will appreciate this conversation piece and will delight in identifying all the varieties of fruits and vegetables contained, finding matching jars and learning the Mealtime Mantra from my childhood!

Now, to figure out how I'll quilt this one... hmmm.

This is awesome! I'm sure Mason will enjoy matching masons. You are such a clever granny.

Golly do you know what? This just gave me the chills. I think it has to do with the way the tradition is being passed on. You're an amazing woman, you know that?!
