Dear Snuggie Wearer,

I saw you, wearing your Snuggie and dashing into Costco the other day. I'm not sure you read the rules when you bought your Snuggie, contrary to what you may think it is NOT outerwear! Do you have any other coats, jackets or wraps that open down the back? No you don't, that ought to tell you something right there. I know it was cold, wet and slushy the day you decided to top off your parka with your Snuggie and go shopping, let me suggest that you add heavier layers underneath your jacket so that your Snuggie won't get all wet and dirty dragging through the puddles in the parking lot. (Which, brings me to another point, but this one isn't your fault: despite the way they're described, one size doesn't fit ALL!) Look at this photo that advertises your beloved Snuggie, they're made to be enjoyed at home, with a date, playing backgammon.

Sincerely,

'Tis the season, and I still have a LOT to do; namely, more correspondence. Next, a letter to the lady who was wearing her flannel Christmas pajamas (albeit cute!) out to shop for groceries at Trader Joe's... seriously, is anyone so busy that they can't pull on a pair of jeans before they leave home?

Life is Good!

I still feel guilty if I wear a sweatsuit outside the house!!!
:-D And the latest craze, the "hoodie footie" (a footed pajama thing with a hood) is also a wonder to behold. Ugh (I told a friend that on a large woman, it looks like two bulldogs fighting in sack! Blech!!) The local Wal-mart Supercenter reveals all kinds of fashion wonders. No wonder I like to shop online! :-D
Hang in there, Mrs. G. We old fogies must stick together!! LOL

Sounds like there are plenty of us out here who would prefer some common sense and consideration from our fellow shoppers ...

I still cringe when women in pink foam hair rollers are out and about on Saturday afternoons!

Pj's is how I can tell if I am in Lex. Walmart (better known as ghetto mart) or W/S Peters-Creek Walmart.

Maybe they are prone to spontaneous napping??

I just try to stay out of Wal Mart, but Trader Joes...I love that store!

I have seen others in their PJ's too. It only takes a minute to put on their regular clothes. Do we want to see their pjs? NO! lol

The only time I go outside in my pjs is when I take the kids to school and I don't even get out of the car.

1. clearly, the snuggy people are trying to make the whole snuggie thing acceptable in any situation....
case in point

(however, i'm not so sure why people are infatuated with these things....they are hot and they don't breath at all!
maybe you should introduce quilt snuggies.....just a thought!)

2. i think i've said this before, and i'm sure i'll say it again, i see nothing wrong with wearing pajamas all day! i live for a pajama day....and ....think that i'll go put my pajamas on right now! :)

OK, that made me laugh. Also, the visual of someone wearing a Snuggy while shopping also made me laugh. Merry Christmas.

I'm glad you mentioned the parka. Boy did I have a visual going! I have made it a rule that one does not leave this house unless fully dressed in proper clothing; that means no yoga pants, no sweats, no pajamas and certainly no snuggies.

I noticed the other day at Wal-Mart it looked like a lot of people there just jumped out of bed and showed up wearing their pajamas. I saw some things on people that I wouldn't be caught outside doing yard work in. Maybe they were just too busy to shower, comb their hair and change? Going there is kind of like a train wreck...you know it's going to be hideous but you just can't look away. I love your post!

Guuuuufffffawwww.....this snuggie wearer didn't happen to have a bumpit hairdo by chance?

This cracked me up. You were much more politically ((correct??) fun than I was! But some things just should not be done in public. Snuggies and bump it hairdos only start the list!
