The Tale Of Two Mangers

This is the tale of two mangers, the one where the grandparents are torn. There are two beautiful babies; both portraying Jesus. One manger is a hundred miles away in the Capital City and the second one is close by. Each baby is to be wrapped and placed in a manger, in their own church, on the same day; Christmas eve. To be chosen to portray this member of the holy family is honor for the families, yet a dreadful dilemma for the grandparents. You've heard the oft-asked question: "what would Jesus do?"; in this case the question can be modified... "what are the grandparents of two Jesus-babies to do?" To choose to see one and not the other is nearly impossible; will it be baby Jesus the girl or baby Jesus the red-head? They cannot attend both, the services are scheduled too close together and the distance is too far; they need super-powers, or a private jet.

Life is Good!
...choices are hard...

What a dilemma! Hubby and I even discussed it over breakfast. If you're looking for opinions from other grandparents, we'd probably go to our own church and see little red-headed Jesus while eagerly awaiting video footage of sweet baby girl Jesus. And we'd be very grateful that both babies weren't 100 miles away in opposite directions because that would be a much harder decision! You will have to tell us what you end up doing!!

This is complicated......
Good luck with your decision. I'm sure whichever service you choose to attend will be wonderful and the "other Baby Jesus" and family will understand your decision. Good luck!
And Merry Christmas Mrs Goodneedle to you and your family!

Hmmm, I guess you could go with the one that was scheduled first, but I bet both babies will be understanding! What a great dilema to have.

You know what Solomon offered the two "mothers". Instead of cutting the baby in half, perhaps the grandparents should divide and conquer....of course, then there is the new dilemma of chosing who goes where. Yikes! You have my heartfelt sympathies on this decision.

Not that big of a deal! Stay together on Christmas Eve and see the little redheaded baby Jesus. Baby girl and her family will understand!

Whichever way you choose, there will never be any doubt that you love both babies with all your heart...and where you aren't physically you will be in spirit, so really, you will be in both places at once.

(any chance of having it streamed live on your cell phone?)

why doesn't one go in one direction and the other go in the opposite? My husband and I had to do this a few times when the children were in different schools. And, we each took videos and shared them when we got home. Claire
