Speechless!

It was a long weekend (it began on Thursday), one I had looked forward to for months. I expected good food, good friends, and happy hours spent sewing together on a semi-annual quilting retreat in Black Mountain, NC. I wasn't disappointed on that front. The one thing I didn't expect, though, was having no voice, nope; none! I lost it on Thursday evening and it began to return as we got ready to head home yesterday. I know it was an annoying experience for those seated nearby; however, being rendered speechless was a ridiculously impossible situation for me. Groan.

I'm demanding a show and tell. Glad you had a good time. I wish I could have been there.

Oh no! That is too bad! Hope you had fun in spite of no voice.

The important part of your journey was you having a good time. Being unable to speak also gives you more opportunity to listen. Glad you enjoyed it. Judy C

Didn't hinder communication a bit. I am still reeling that you didn't bring your sewing PJ's though (who else irons pajamas)

I used to teach environmental education at a residential facility in GA where we would have 2 school groups per week (2 1/2 days each). i remember being sick with laryngitis, but it was not an option to not show up for work (especially since it was a residential facility). But even though I could only whisper and write on the white board, it was a fascinating exercise in how to communicate to the class without sound. And, it was actually successful!

Isn't God mysterious. He wanted you to listen and observe the week-end. Think of all you took in during the week end you might have missed if you were able to speak.

Sheesh! That would be incredibly annoying not to be able to TALK when no hubbies were around. Glad you're getting it back:)

I've lost my voice on vacation before.....and it sucks the fun right out of everything! I guess I'm a talker, too! lol

So, have I lost my mind, or do you have a new header? I like it! Lots of color and a sweet little pup! Too cute!
