Keeping Busy!

A dear friend shared this cartoon last week, it was entitled: "the first senior moment, why dinosaurs are extinct!" I can relate to this feeling. I've been so busy lately that I do feel like all those really important things are quite possibly passing me by without me even noticing. And yet, will it ever be different? I find myself rationalizing within my own head... "when I finish this, this and this then I'll have time for that, that, and that"... but, will I? I imagine myself as a hamster on a wheel with no jumping off point; run, run, run. I was loading my car the other day after Quilt Ministry at church when a friend stopped and gave me a big hug. She thanked me for all that I manage to get done! That comment took me by complete surprise; and then, (as if I wasn't surprised enough!) I heard myself tell her, in reply, how much I love to keep busy! I did a quick mental inventory on the drive home. She was right, I do actually get things finished, it's so easy to lose track. No, I'm not a caged rodent running aimlessly; some days it just feels that way. But, I was speaking the truth, too... I do enjoy keeping busy, I am blessed that way. Hopefully, I can stay organized enough not to miss the Ark when it floats by!

Life is Good!

Love this, Mrs. G! I've been feeling like such a slacker -- slow on my blog, slow on answers, slow on projects, slow on everything! and missing the boat. But you are RIGHT! We get much more done than we think!!! Keep on trucking, missy! We know you are awesome!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

This cartoon made me laugh hysterically! I can relate especially lately. I think I will print it out and make a poster of it for my new "office".

I am afraid I know what you are saying - some days are just a waste of my make up and clean clothes. Then someone notices the things I have done - and it makes a difference. I think it must drive us to do more. LoL. Judy C

Being calendar challenged as I am, I think I'll print that cartoon out and hang it over my desk. Love it!!!

And goodness, you DO get a lot done, and you do it all so well! You are definitely an inspiration to me :)

Boy, I'd love to take credit for that great cartoon, but no, it wasn't me. Thanks for the laugh, though. And it's so true....crazy busy, and don't realize how much I'm accomplishing....feels like I'm just wasting time most days! Argh! I hate that feeling!

That is really great......I am feeling the same these days. I keep saying more hours in the day please, but I know they would just get filled up.

I really, really dislike not doing; I like to stay busy just like you. I try to keep track of the finishes, tho.

I think if you kept a list of everything you do accomplish and get done, you would be amazed. I think we all would be surprised if we did that, but I think you would be amazed!
