Let There Be...

... WATER... and it was GOOD!

Look carefully at the center of the pot in the picture. Can you see it? Water bubbling out? This weekend my clever husband has equipped my outside pots with sprinkler heads. What could be better? They're all hooked up to a timer, that's what! No more lugging hoses and watering cans. This is a brilliant move... all the more time for quilting!

Oh I love it - we had that when we lived in Colorado - and plan to again in our next garden. Judy C

Did he come up from the bottom of the pot or over the side? When I used to do hanging plants I would snake a line through the hangers; it was lovely to sit under the 'sprinkler' when the water went on. *smile*.

Okay, there needs to be a follow-up post about how this was accomplished!! I love container gardening, and I've grown accustomed to lugging hoses and watering cans, but I always feel so bad when we go away for two weeks of vacation in July and my neighbor has to water all my containers. It's made me cut down on the number of flower pots I have, but this system could mean the return of abundant containers! Woo! Please, details?
