Prepped And Basted...

I have fallen behind in my appliqué block-of-the month workshops; so far behind, in fact, that I needed to work on three at a time this week to get myself caught up before the next workshop on the 6th of July. For the last two days I have cut and pressed and stitched down the pieces all in preparation for hand appliqué. Whew! I have set aside tomorrow for piecing the sashing strips (tiny blocks on point) and I have an idea in mind for one more little bit of extra pizzazz before setting these blocks... yep, accent piping! I have learned my lesson regarding scheduling on this project and my plan is to stay caught up from here on in; I'm halfway there. I may have fallen but, thankfully, I can get up!

They are beautiful! It's hard to stay caught up when there's so much going on around you...but it's even harder to catch up when you're behind. Me...I may never catch up!

Beautiful blocks - yes, we all learn our lessons - it is what we do with that information that counts. As for me, I am an ongoing project. Judy C

Awesome blocks, Mrs. G! I love your fabric choices!! This pattern is on my bucket list (So many quilts, so little time!)! You will make it uniquely your own in this and many ways, I'm sure!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

Beautiful blocks!! I love those colors. I am in the remedial applique class--or let's be honest--I'm a drop-out! You do beautiful work!

I'm doing Hop to It also. I did 4 blocks in a week because I'm a procrastinator. I plan to do a few more next week when I get some vacation time. I'm avoiding the sashing....I think I just need to face it. Keep us posted on the piping. You are a brave woman!

What lovely color choices! The extra pizazz sound intriguing. I'm thinking of doing further scalloping on my Hugs & Kisses top.

Your work is beautiful. I agree it is so hard to keep up with projects and all the other jobs that require our attention...I am sure you will get it all finished on time
