November? Already??

October is done, gone. Wow! We are left with some terrific memories and a bowl FULL of trick or treat candy from last night, not even one person came out and rang our doorbell. (Every year I say that I should buy the candy that we don't like so that we won't be left with such sweet temptation!) We did have a Halloween visitor yesterday, although not a costumed one. Gregory is quite the apple aficionado! While I'm scratching my head as to where the last month has gone perhaps I should focus on the last thirty years! Look what I ran across in a box of old photos, this is Gregory's DADDY in 1981. Can you detect a resemblance?

We had a double handful of trick or treaters. Today, I will take the remainder of the candy to work for the candy jar. Thank goodness it is not close to my desk! I have compared a photo of DS and one of myself and it almost looks like the same child.

Oh my! Practically twins! I have several photos of Salem & myself sitting side by side which were taken when we were the same age. Our features are not as much alike, but we have the same funny little smile. I love to see photos like that. Quite evocative! Enjoy this wonderful fall weather! B

Well I must say he is a pretty cute boy...and yes very like his daddy!

Yep no doubt who his daddy is, no wonder he pulls on your heartstrings so. And I will proably NEVER have a trick or treater again now that I live at the cabin in the woods. Banjo did come up to the sewing room last night with GP and he got some kittie treats!

Wonderful pair of photos!!

We had 37 little visitors last night (down from nearly 100 last year, which was down from 200 the year before).

There is WAY TOO MUCH candy at the office today - apparently many others had fewer trick or treaters.

You can tell the apple didn't fall far from the tree with that one! Wonder if the next one will look like mom?

Definitely a family resemblance there! Two cuties!
Our trick or treat number was down this year too. Don't know if it was because it was on Monday or because so many places had trunk or treat on the weekend. But I'm doing my best to get rid of the extra candy!

We had many many trick or treaters--my hubby made the ones just holding out their pillowcases or treat bags say the magic words before he gave them candy!

The photos are too precious! Your camera is much better now but the big grins and red hair are the same!

I sent my husband out with SPECIFIC instructions to bring back candy I DID NOT like. What did he buy??? Snickers, Twix, and Reese's Peanut Butter pumpkins! YIKES!! Luckily for me, there were enough ghosties...oh and DH and BOTH sons, to finish them off. This morning, there was just one lonely empty Snickers paper. WHEW! Dodged THAT bullet!

We had 12 little goblins before we went to spend the evening with the grandchildren. At their home you often couldn't close the door before the next group came up the walk.
No question as to that cute little one's parentage!!

those photos are so great. My mom has a picture of herself and one of my sister at the same age. They could be twins. It is amazing.
