Better With Age!

Remember those linen towels I posted about before Christmas? They are the very best thing for spotless crystal! They're one of those things (like fine wine and my husband) that only get better with age. The more they're washed and dried the softer and more absorbent these towels get, ensuring better performance each and every time. I found this linen for sale by the yard at Waechter's Fine Fabrics in Asheville, it is genuine Irish linen from Ulster. (Thanks Quiltkeemosabe for turning me on to this great find!) It takes 7/8 of a yard per towel; the edges are already hemmed, the ends are to be finished and there's allowance for that to make one fine-sized drying towel. That comment above referring to my husband and aging? Today's his birthday! The glasses are ready for toasting... Happy Birthday, honey, I love you!

A very Happy Birthday to the MR. I have a few linen towels and LOVE them. I keep looking for them in stores and can never find them. I will have to check around for some towel linen here in town and see if I can find any. I am in a towel swap and I want linen towels not terry if can, to do mine in April.
