Photo Finish...

Why does everything always come down to the wire? I don't know; but for me, even the best laid plans don't see a whole lot accomplished ahead of time, especially in December! Lucy Ann's Christmas dress is done, except for the hem. She'll make it look especially good. Today our tree was finally decorated and the boxes wrapped for mailing out of town. Tomorrow is another day... and sew it goes!

Life is Good!

Lucy Ann's dress is so sweet! i can relate to how you're feeling about intentions and best laid plans right now-- December is flying by soooo quickly and I am way behind on my homemade gift-making, even though I thought i started early!! Hope your tree is pretty :0)

This is the sweetest little dress....the smocking is so beautiful, and those tiny little sleeve edges.....just the right fullness for elegance, too! What a little princess she'll be in it! Well done!

Just beautiful! Nice work, Nana! :-) We got our tree up today too, finally, and all the Christmas storage boxes are back in the basement. Now for wrapping, baking, planning, shopping, and oh yeah, reading an entire book for book club next Monday. Sheesh.

Beautiful color and perfection in the smocking! You are getting awfully good at this :) My tree is in its stand but is otherwise bare--tomorrow night will have to be the decorating hour (or two)!

What a precious little girl to have such a wonderful little dress to wear. My aunt use to make all of my clothes, especially my Easter coat and dress - I still remember how wonderful I felt when she gifted them to me. Thank you for sharing this ... and my wonderful memory. Judy C

Like I told a friend at church yesterday...we're in Advent now, so we can be getting ready right up until Christmas day, when it officially starts. And it goes until Epiphany. So there's time to get it all done :)

Lucy Ann's dress is just precious!! I can't wait to see pictures of her in it. What an angel she will be!

What a beautiful dress! Is that corduroy? Now that my first granddaughter has arrived I have a smocked dress on my project list for January.
