Cure All?

My husband suffers from, what must be, a genetic malady. The skin on his fingertips cracks open in the wintertime,  and proves resistant to all creams, balms and ointments. His sister has the same affliction and has sent boxes of items that work for her, with varying degrees of success, for my husband to try. This product is one of them; read below the brand name what it claims to be for... they must sell tons at Halloween!

Life is Good!

Let me know if you find something that works. My husband has the same problem and we've yet to find something that helps him.

What a hoot! Does he put it on his fingers at night and then wear gloves to bed? That is what a doctor told my daughter (who suffers with the same problem) to do.

How funny! Looks like the proofreader wasn't working the day this packing was printed! Hope your hubby finds some relief from his malady!

My fingers do the same thing in the winter. It is so painful. What works for me is Krazy Glue. Just cover the wound with a thin layer and allow to dry. It kills the pain and the wound heals underneath the glue. For real bad ones you might need to reapply everyday. I put it on as soon as a crack starts and it keeps it from getting bad. Hospitals use something similar to close up wounds. It really works for me.

I love this stuff. My DH uses it inside and outside his nose. Works like a charm. My friend has your hubby's skin, and like Debbie, uses Krazy Glue. She keeps the tiny size inhere purse.

My thumbs do this and I use super glue.

Funny how it got that far with the misspelling... although, it doesn't take much to make me misspell!
I have that same problem and it's all year long whether working with fabric (it seems to suck the moisture out of my hands) or doing canning or what have you! Good luck with that new item. I notice that as long as I make an effort to put something like "Bag Balm" or "Utter Cream". I'm fine. But mostly I forget! Oh... and the other thing I do if I'm really sore (cause those splits can hurt like nothing else)I will put on Triple Antibiotic b/4 bed and rub it in really well... that does help a lot too.

I use New Skin to coat the cracks until they heal. And I use a somewhat greasy hand lotion at bedtime every night in the winter.
