Four? Already??

We've had an action-packed, child-filled, celebratory birthday weekend for Mason... he officially turns four tomorrow. We were lucky to have all three of the grandchildren here yesterday morning, there's never a dull moment when they're all together; there were wagon races and loads of laughter. Gregory seems unsure about his pilot in this picture but Mason's indicating that he has matters under control!

Mason's party was a Jake and The Never Land Pirates theme...
complete with eye patches and a scale model of the Vasa  (background).
"I ate all my dinner... where's the cake?"

Our daughter created a stunning pirate ship cake,
complete with characters... Mason LOVED it!

Lucy Ann is spending some time today with Nana and PawPaw while Mommy, Daddy and Mason
are out having even more birthday fun. Look what Nana found in one of the stashed away toy bins...
vintage dollies, these were her Mommy's; 30+ year old Strawberry Shortcake dolls, already broken in and well-loved... she has enjoyed combing their hair and changing their shoes,  for hours on end!

If only I could age this well...
Life is Good!

That cake is gorgeous! What a talented daughter you have!

How blessed you were to have your grands with you yesterday. It looks like your grands are the very best age - those toddler years are the best, I think!

Catching up on your posts. What a great weekend you had with the grands! After reading this however, I now have "Jake, Jake, and the Neverland Pirates" singing through my head. :-). Nice that we have grandsons the same age. We're experiencing lots of the same things. I also have Strawberry Shortcake dolls stashed away for Miss Julia when she's ready. ~~Paulie
