Lazy Days and Lattes

We were at sea for four days on our way to Hawaii... four days and nights. That's a long time with nothing to do, except relax. At first it's hard to do nothing... but, it is possible to learn; and to enjoy it! There were books to read and crossword puzzles to solve; and Cribbage, there's always Cribbage! Mr. Goodneedle and I play Cribbage every day, even when we're busy at home. The Cribbage games at sea were exceptionally leisurely; we attended  a few lectures and played some Trivia  too, and then there were the Vanilla Bean Lattes. Oh, yeah; it was hard, but we learned how to kick back, relax and do nothing... deliciously!

We learned an interesting fact about Hawaii: back in the late nineteen forties and early fifties Hawaii was so convinced that they would achieve statehood that some businesses opened with the name Forty-Niner! Alas, Alaska was admitted before they were, much to their surprise and dismay,  and so~ the phrase Hawaii Five-O came to be!
This was the view from our balcony, night and day...
just bright blue ocean as far as the eye could see.
Life is Good!

I have only cruised twice once in the inner passage to Alaska and then around the Bahamas on the Disney Dream. I would have thought crossing the Pacific would be rougher waters. Did you have any bouts with motion sickness? I like the idea of being forced to relax!!

I have to confess that it didn't take me too long to relax. I had loaded a couple of really good books onto my Kindle ... I enjoyed basking in the warm sunshine with my Kindle up on the Lido deck, glancing up every once in a while to see the beautiful blue waters. ;-)

Aahhhh.....crusing. The only way to travel. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your trip.

That is very blue ocean! So pretty.
Oh, I often wonder if I would learn to relax. You give me hope. I am very "Type A" (as my friends call me) and the thought of having to relax for days at a time (I can do small doses) makes me nervous. : )

I can only imagine the lovely warm fresh air that you would be experiencing.

That does look relaxing cool blue water and coffee rather than cool blue shadows on snow here. I'll have to pass the Hawaii five O on to my daughter.
