Sail Away...

Way back when... January 2, to be exact; we sailed out of the Port of Los Angeles and into the Pacific Ocean toward the Hawaiian Islands for some rest and relaxation! A LOT has happened since then, including the arrival of our newest granddaughter! But, for the next few days, sit back and relax; come along with me for the ride. Los Angeles was chilly when we left the port, in the mid 50's, cooler than I had anticipated. It was late in the afternoon as we pulled away toward   sunshine and warm island breezes.
We passed alongside this Maritime Museum.
As always, we're escorted from the port by the good ol' U. S. Coast Guard!

Catalina Island at sunset.

Past the breakers and into the wide open ocean, leaving California behind.
We have four full sea days ahead before we will see land again.

Life is Good!

I'd love to cruise to Hawaii ... we have friends going next month who suggested we join them ... unfortunately we just did a cruise and will be taking our daughter and her family to Disney World for 2 weeks in May, so our travel budget is at its max already this year. ;-) So I'm hoping that you'll share more photos so I can do this vicariously through you. ;-)
