This, This and That Tuesday

My daughter in law sent me this side-by-side comparison photo of Gregory (L, at 4 weeks, two years ago) and Lynnleigh ( R, now 6 wks.) wearing the same overalls. Isn't this sweet? I do think there is a striking sibling similarity here although baby sister doesn't have the same head full of red hair as her big brother. (I know, it does look red in photographs but is more blonde in person.) She has her own sweet personality and  just look at those big, round, eyes! Okay, Nana's smitten but you know that already.

This is my newest "favorite thing", a large capacity Krispy Kreme coffee mug; it was a gift from a dear friend. What makes this coffee mug a favorite thing? 1: The amount of coffee that it holds (less trips to the pot for refills), 2: the contours and the way it feels in/ warms my hand, 3: the indented bow-tie logo which provides the perfect thumb-rest. Do you have a favorite cup or mug? Take the time to examine why it pleases you and why you reach for it first thing every morning, the answer will make you smile.  Doesn't my mug look cute on this vintage snack tray? The tray is one of a set of four given to me by another precious friend. What could be sweeter? Okay, your'e right: a Krispy Kreme doughnut on the tray beside the mug!

...and that: have you heard about New Rochelle, NY high school basketball player, Khalil Edney and "the shot"? Click on the link and choose whatever coverage you want to read and watch the video if you haven't seen it. It is an amazing and heartwarming story with a history you don't want to overlook. Khalil has his special angel in heaven whom he credits with his "luck".

The comparison photos are so sweet. At first glance I thought it was the same baby. : )
I have seen "the shot"--over and over. : )
But I haven't heard the back story. I will have to check that out.

I love denim overalls on babies!!

DS has a Krispy Kreme mug and loves it for the same reasons you love your mug.

Hugs for sharing!!

Wow, they do look amazingly alike! My husband's and son's newborn photos are like that, but not my kids' :)

Love your description of why the cup "calls" to you. And now I want a vintage snack tray!
