Mom fell in love with a teeny-tiny 4-Strip Rail Fence block that I showed her (from The Quilt Block Bible) this past weekend. "I would like to stitch up some blocks like that" she said; and so, we got to work. She pulled fabrics from her stash and I grabbed the rotary cutter... slicing up logs so that she could simply sit and sew after we left to come back home. She got right to the task at hand, too; sending this photo to me just yesterday afternoon in an e-mail... "how did I do?" she asked. She did great; don't you agree? I was unsure exactly how many strips I had cut for her but she assured me that even after using this many strips she hasn't even made a dent in her "log pile"; "I still can't get the lid all the way down on the box they're in" she explained. That's good, she'll have plenty to work with and a lovely Rail Fence quilt when all is said and done! This photo makes me SEW happy; way to go, Mom!
