Road Tripping... Again!

Mimi, my Aunt Julie and Mom
Good morning, it's me; Hannes, I'm bringing this blog up to date because Mom is busy today unpacking and doing laundry... some days she's just too busy to keep up with the things that are most important: tummy rubs and behind-the-ear scratches, just to name two. We've been on the road... again!  A quick trip to new England to visit with my grandparents and my aunt and uncle. Mom and Dad said the foliage was spectacular and the food was delicious; you'll have to take their word on that, I was either sleeping in the car or left behind at the house when they were visiting restaurants and the like. Don't feel bad for me though, there were welcoming laps to sit on and lots of stroking from my grandparents during my visit, they love me.
Autumn in Vermont

Mom will be back soon with photos to share, she finished up the handwork on two quilts in the car and found lots of interesting ideas to post about while reading those quilt magazines that she never has time to sit and read  when we're at home. I wish she would learn to sit down more... I really am a lap dog; how can I possibly be expected to live up to my full potential while chasing her to and fro?

It's a dog's life... and it's all good!

Well done, Hannes -- and WELL SAID. We should ALL sit down more often!

Hey Hannes--Arlo here. I am with you 100%(whatever that's sposed to mean) about chasing Mom all over and wishing she would sit down more. Only, when she does sit down she usually has yarn stuff or more fabric in her lap and not me! Admittedly, I'm just a "bit" bigger than you so fitting on a lap is a bit more difficult. Glad to hear you had fun and got lots of loving. Mom keeps saying she wants to go back east again as she really misses the foliage, whatever that is....

Oh, I was in Vermont last year at this time--so many memories in your Fall Foilage photo, or should I say "Mom's" photo.
You are a forbearing dog, Hannes. Your parents are lucky to have you. : )

Thanks for the morning smile with my tea, Hannes. I appreciate your keeping the post updated since mom and dad appear to be quite busy of late. Am sure you're glad to be back home in your regular "digs". Keep calm and carry on!
