Prayer vs. Talk

There's much going on in my life right now; without a doubt there's much going on in yours too. I am thankful to God for all the many blessings that are bestowed upon me every day; but, I am guilty of not being as disciplined in prayer as I might be. I need to stop talking (as much) and start praying (more). I am even more grateful to have a heavenly Father who knows this about me and loves me anyway.

I am guilty too. :)

I've had these same thoughts, lately, and have been working to improve in this area.

Wise words, and so true, for so many of us. Guilty as charged, but forgiven - Praise God!

My husband and I were just talking about this. Feel we need to be more grateful and thankful for all our blessings rather than praying for more "things". Lately we've been going to some wooded property we own nearby in the evenings after dinner. It's a bit cooler there and we will sit, in silence, and try to "quiet" ourselves and focus on being thankful. Feels really good. Good topic!

Always love your insights and wisdom on things of a spiritual nature. I know I have only begun to understand and tap into the great resource that is prayer to a loving Father!

So true. I too want to be a pray-er and not just a talker. Or thinker-about-er. Heaven forbid, worrier.
