A warmer and softer world, one quilt at a time. At long last Sundance has surrendered this, her latest quilt, "Sugar and Spice". I've had this one loaded for a good while. The long arm journey continues, step by step. This sampler quilt was the example for a quilt making class that I taught at our local community college fifteen years ago, it has languished as a top long enough! The pattern is from
Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!! a book by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes, it is still available and a great resource for quilt making of all levels. This has proved to be a great surface for playing with different free motion and straight-edge guided quilting techniques. Now, to find some fifteen year old fabric from the stash for binding; I don't think that will be a problem! The sweetest thing about "Sugar and Spice"? It's done! Stay tuned to see what follows this one... any guesses?
Life is Good!

ReplyDeleteBy the way your previous post of "I'm Grateful" has become the new fav' for my office including our *Guidance Counselor* the reactions from folks when the response to the question of "how are you" is "I'm Grateful" is amazing, and always brings a response and most times a question of "for what"! Thank you for sharing that blog entry, love it!
Looks great! I just cannot wait for my baby to arrive. Soon!
