"... you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked with the cross of Christ forever." This is our son, Kyle, and his godson;
our grandson, Mason! Mason was baptized yesterday in the church where both his Mom and Dad were confirmed, and where they were married, all by the same Pastor (a first for him!). But wait, it gets even better... our little Mason was baptized in the very same gown worn by both his Dad and his grandfather, it was handmade by Mason's great-grandmother, and she was in attendance. Oh, and one more thing, even better yet... both Mason and his godfather share the very same baptismal birthday.

Kyle was baptized right here, at this same font, 28 years ago! We celebrated with family and friends over dinner at our home following the service, it was a joy-filled day; one to be remembered and cherished, for a long time to come!
Life is Good!
A glorious day! And such a nice picture of the family, with YOU in a sleeveless dress, no less (wearing a turtleneck this morning here NP)! Your MIL had been dreadfully sick a few months back; apparently she is doing well now. We had a baptism yesterday, too. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I have the chills. What a blessed experience. Oh now I'm feeling tears well-up. My, my, my. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe pastor at a church I attended in another city always said at a baptism, "babies are God's proof that he hasn't given up on us yet"...what a special day for your family! Thanks for sharing...and how neat that there is so much shared history there!
ReplyDeleteFamily all together is so wonderful, and especially the occasion, that is also such a blessing, but all that history is just a reward from God for all the wonderful things you and your family do.God bless all of you.
ReplyDeleteMason is so sweet and handsome. I would love to see him.
On another note, I see Hannes back there,all in the family, tooo SWEET.
