The Quilting Is Done!

I have binding yet to apply, and a sleeve to attach, but I couldn't resist sharing this one today now that the quilting is complete.
Is there any phrase that
elicits more joy
than
"the quilting's done"?
I daresay only one.
When new fabrics
and pattern beckon,

my gleeful reply:
"I've just begun"!

...and sew it goes...
Life is Good!

  3. Oh Mrs. G, this is a fantastic quilt and I really enjoyed clicking the photo to look at the quilting. Irresistible!

Love the whole post, the way you put it it "On Display" with the use of words as well.

  5. That is a lovely quilt with great quilting. I need to start dividing and conquering on the flimseys that are stacking up.

  6. Oh, my! It is beautiful -- the colors, the pattern, the quilting -- just every bit of it. And now I'm tempted to do a quilt in this pattern, too! Oh, my!

That quilt is so beautiful It looks like one I could do with all my bonus 1/2 square triangles I have been saving. It is so very lovely.
Yes, it is such a satisfying feeling to say the quilting is done. But it is also bittersweet. I get sad when I finish a project that has kept me company for a length of time. So doing the binding by hand is my way of the last time to touch, love and say goodbye to my quilts.
