For the past ten years I have collected the Washington State Collection Quarters, I thought I was done; apparently not.Both of my children called me on Friday to ask if I had the Puerto Rico quarter yet, they each had one. No, I hadn't seen one, didn't even know one was being released. I lived there once, I knew I had to find one. My daughter offered me hers, what a deal! I learned on Friday that she had others, too; even elusive Wisconsin!
I keep tellin' ya...

ReplyDeleteDH has 3 sets of each of the quarters, he orders his from the mint...3 grandchildren...one set for each. He hasn't mentioned the PR ones, so I will have to ask him about those. He NEVER puts them away until our GD is here to "help" him. He started this ritual when she was 4 and we were keeping her after school. They still enjoys that special time together. Just another memory for her someday!

ReplyDeleteI finally finished my set - Hawaii and Oklahoma were my holdouts. I didn't even know that there was a Puerto Rico one. Now, I guess my set isn't complete until I get one of those.
