Is it soup yet? Almost! This is the quilt top formerly known as "Miss Alaynee." After simmering on the back burner for a very long time I began to think of it as a rich soup that was only getting better with time and more added ingredients; hence, the name change. It still needs one bottom row attached before the two pieced borders and it will ready for a date with Sundance. The pattern for this one is from Judy Martin's book: Cookies 'n' Quilts. My recipe has been adapted to include lots of spicy prints and a good deal of simmering time, this one bubbled in both bins and boxes before one additional month+ on the design wall. It's just the kind of comfort needed for a cold and blustery January day.Life is Good!

That is the beauty of scrap quilts - you can adjust the spices as you go along. This is beautiful.
