What's Missing?

What's missing from this picture? Yes, you probably noticed... the little arm bands to finish off the sleeves. That, and an almost one-year-old little girl inside! Wait; how did that happen? I'm blaming it on time bandits, there's no other explanation. After all, Lucy Ann was born the day before yesterday, wasn't she?

Life is Good!

  1. No, we must have confused the dates. Our little peanut can't be almost ONE!

  2. One already? They grow up way too fast!

Love the bishop dress for Lucy Ann! Will her new nickname be Cupcake?

When I sewed bishops (and it's been a few years...), I used the scalloped edging stitch on my Bernina instead of putting on the sleeve bands. It added a fun touch, but you have to do it before it goes through the pleater.

  3. Oh my and look at the gorgeous smocking! How beautiful is that? I cannot believe she is a year old already. Gosh, I can't even believe Mason is 3. It really truly does feel like moments ago when you announced you were to have the blessed honor of being a grandmother. Oh Debbie, we're starting to rack up some years together my friend. I thought we shared a lot before but now its so bittersweet and too simple the way we can count the years. Love to you my talented friend. *karendianne.

  12. Love it! Can't wait to see a picture of the "little Cupcake"" in the dress. Are you going to be able to handle it if cake gets smeared all over it?
