Tic-Tac-Toe

Clothes weren't the only things being sewn over the weekend at Chez Goodneedle. Nana managed to whip up a Tic Tac Toe game for Mason, too. This little game board was designed by my daughter as a Math game when she was a junior in college. An Early Childhood major, she created quite a few teaching games while she was home on Spring break in 1997. I helped her execute the finished product for this one and had recently found the handwritten pattern in my files. (If anyone is interested in the specifics let me know and I will e-mail the directions to you.)
Mason loved it!

He sat down on the floor and challenged his Daddy to a game right away.

 Guess who won?
Daddy was a gracious loser.
I hope he'll have half as much fun playing as I had stitching it up for him.
It brought back so many happy memories for me, from one generation to another.
...and sew it goes...
Life is Good!

  1. How very clever!! As an early childhood graduate myself, I still recall the late nights creating games and projects for use in a classroom!
Now I have a grandson who LOVES to play tic-tac-toe. Hmmm. Wonder if I can figure this one out? : )

  3. Ah, looks like the pattern for this was unearthed in the now spotlessly clean closet! ;-) So cute! How did our grandsons get to be such grown up little boys?

  7. love your bright and cheerful tic-tac-toe game! I recently made one using an old pair of denim coveralls that were my dad's. I think I like your game board better. Very cheerful :)

  8. If you'd be so kind as to share your directions, I'd love to make a couple of these for my daughter's homes so their kids would have them.

Also want to make one for my house!

    Thanks!
