Glow!
I mentioned glow-in-the dark thread in yesterday's post and thought you might like to see how it shows up on a quilt once it's stitched in, after the lights are switched off. The dark photo on the left is a glowing example of not only the glowing thread but also glowing "eyes" from that white fabric patch that has phosphorescent properties too! The thread glows for several hours after dark and recharges by being exposed to any light source during the day; it's a fun addition to any child's quilt!

My grandchildren would love that! I made them Halloween pillowcases last year with some fabric that glowed in the dark and they laughed and laughed. blessings, marlene
I wonder how this will wear after many washings. I'm thinking that this might be very cool for a Quilts for Kids quilt.
A good friend used that thread on the pillow cases she made for her college-bound kids. She wrote the words "Remember to call home" on them ... LOL ... and yes, it worked.
That is so nifty!
I've often seen that thread at shows but could never figure out what to do with it since I don't have any kids to quilt for. Very cute.
Fun! I'm sure the kids will love seeing all the designs and eyes :)
I've wondered about the glow in the dark thread. Now I know. Thanks I can hear my kids saying when they were young I can't go to sleep my quilt is still on. HOw do I turn of off!!?? Ha

Since GP always come to bed after me, maybe I should stitch a message on our next quilt!!!
What brand of thread did you use? Did it behave pretty much like a standard quilting thread (I usually use Kibg Tut)?
I would like to know were to get it.
