Never!

Never say never; you could, one day, find yourself having to go back on your word. It's pretty safe for me to say never in this instance however (Hannes can thank me now!). While shopping at a Crafts Festival on Friday I met "Jill" pictured, left, she was riding in a stroller being pushed by her human parents; she had come to have her picture taken with Santa Claus. She wore a Christmas dress and cardigan sweater, black patent leather shoes and socks with ruffles; a string of pearls and  monogrammed headband accessorized her outfit! I asked permission to take her picture (I knew this would be hard to believe without photo proof) and was assured that Jill loved to have her picture taken, she was even encouraged by her "Mom" to smile for the camera; this is the best she could do.
And, just when I thought I'd seen it all...
here was this car, parked in front of mine, in a parking lot yesterday afternoon.
Another, safe to say, never... not in a million years;
there's not enough mascara in the world!

Life is Good!

  4. I saw a car decorated like this one and it made me smile. As for the dog this is sad - the owner needs something else to lavish her love and money on.

  5. The car yes, the dog no. A long time ago there was a VW bug in town that was painted like a tiger with a tail that protruded over the back window and curved over the top. Remember that old commercial about putting a 'tiger in your tank'? It was the filling station owner's car.

  6. I'm thinking that's the car Jill has to ride home in! Poor, poor Jill! And if that's 'a dog's life', then I'm truly grateful for all my issues and struggles! lol

  7. Oh sure Jill loves to have her picture taken. Jill's look seems to say to me, "Let's just get this over with and get out of her, Puhleasse!!" That's what they mean by "a dog's life"--at the mercy of senseless people!

  9. Poor dog. She looks so embarrassed. And the eye lashes? Remember Herbie the Love Bug? Maybe this is his girlfriend.

  11. I have seen the eyelashes on a car in the UK but never have I seen a dog dressed to have its photo taken with Santa!

  12. Jill must be a highly loved canine "child". I honestly feel rather sad for her "parents"...there's obviously a large void in their lives for them to have substituted their dog for a child. I've only seen those eyelashes on VW bugs.....didn't know other models of cars could grow them too. ;-)

  14. Sending this to several of my co-workers . . . it is "good" that Miss Dogg is "loved" but I cannot agree with the methods!

    I've seen the eyelashes in person - I agree, NEVER!
