Tagless Technology

This is one of the best additions to clothing that I can remember... what's been taken out! Tags! I've been noticing it more and more and it's completely wonderful... no itchy neck tags, or waistband tags or wherever tags. Just pure cotton comfort. T-shirts, underwear and exercise clothing. I love these! I understand that it's a newly refined process of heat-set ink that allows the tags to be dispensed with and prevents the care instructions and other information from bleeding through to the right side of the garment. Fantastic!
I'm embracing this technology! I read recently that Gap is producing knit clothing without seams. The knitting machine for T's and the like are able to produce a one piece article of clothing without side or back seams at all. At this rate the clothing will be so totally comfy there's no need to change into pajamas at the end of the day... we can go straight to bed; or we could get up in the morning and go to work, or to the grocery store, in the same clothes we slept in all night! Oh, wait... we're already there. I did happen to see a woman out shopping in her pajamas last week!

~But that's another subject for another post on another day!~

Life is Good!
...and even better without pesky tags...

This exact subject came to mind this morning when I put on a new golf shirt with NO tags at the neck. Not only is it more comfortable, but those tags will never poke up above the neckline again! Don't you always feel like going over and folding that peekaboo tag back in for some otherwise very put-together woman???

A wonderful new addition to the clothing industry. It has always amazed me to see very "put together" ladies with their tags "hanging out'. Tacky, tacky. But I do know sometimes it is inevitable, they just sneak out without our knowing it. This will be ever so much more comfy. I can't wait for all our clothes to be tagless.
Now, what we need is THROW AWAY CLOTHES.
Have a good memorial day!

I love those shirts! I'm wearing one now! In fact, when I wear some of my old clothing, I keep being reminded of all the things I have to remember - keep the white stringes inside, make sure the tag is inside the garment and isn't being pulled out, etc.

There are some countries that don't use pajamas as much as the U.S.

Tagless clothing sounds great, I am always cutting off the tags, not sure if they are in Australia yet will have to check out the shops.
Funny story when Nicole (DD) was only small 2years in a row her grandparents gave her a new dress for Christmas and she cut off the tags but also cut large holes in the dresses, I had to mend them before she could even wear them, I am sure she would love taglaess cloths.
Have a good day, Kerry

Oh, I can't WAIT to get tagless clothing! It has always appalled me that Ralph Lauren clothing (which I buy on Ebay, certainly not at Bloomingdale's for full price)which is so beautiful and so well made has the WORST and scratchiest tags. Let us hope that this craze spreads FAST!

Yup, I have seen several women out in town in pajamas! That is just too much..tacky is right!

Tagless is just the best, although there are still a few attaching laundry instructions in a side seam *ick* or is that *itcy*?

I live in a college town -- seeing students going to class in their robes, pjs and slippers is not that uncommon. Matter of fact, since I have taught those same students -- I've seen them in my own classroom. I must admit, it is tempteing at times...but no.

Those tagless shirts are great! I love mine.

What, when did this happen!?! How did I miss going everywhere in my PJ's? I have a pair of capris that I just adore and my DH just HATES!! He wants to burn them. They are sooooooo comfy, I could never throw them out but I try not to wear them other than around the house.

I've been known to go out in lounge pants... AKA PJ bottoms.

I don't even go out the door in sweatpants. And slippers? don't get me started.

I love the tagless clothing. Is it in outer wear too now?

Is there no one that will stand with me to support the clothing tag industry?? What a travesty...

Kidding, of course. This new invention is very cool. I assume we'll be seeing "tagless" quilts coming out of Chez Goodneedle in the near future???

P.S. I am not one who demands formal attire for Walmart. However, I do believe that the clothing chosen should actually qualify as "attire". It often doesn't...

Keslyn,

I just read your comment after reading mine. I've cut tags out of my shirts before only to regret it. Now you have a little micro-tag that is guaranteed to poke at you all day long...

Of course, now that I think of it, this is a quilting site. So you probably used sewing magic to fully remove the tag. Regardless, tagless is beautiful.

First thing I have to do with all my son's store-bought clothes - snip the tags! I love the tag-less ones!

Cheers!

As I was reading your post, I had to stop and adjust the tag that was itching me on my T-Shirt. How timely was that?
