The pace has changed around Chez Goodneedle... you may have noticed fewer posts, it's been evident in my blog perusing, too. Summer livin'... things are slower.
I've been embroidering a lot more lately, by machine. I did a pair of pillow shams and some sets of towels. Things were going well until I hit a snag of some sort yesterday, the aggravation was overwhelming. Nothing would suffice but to completely stop and remove a partial monogram; then begin all over again. Do you have any idea how tedious it is to remove a monogram, thread by thread, from a bath towel? I was pickin' but NOT a' grinnin'! Believe me, this is one time when calm and patience must be adhered to. A glass of wine helped. I redid the towel and it turned out to be just perfect!
...slow and steady...

Cute, cute towels! I love watching the embroidery machines do their stuff. Like hypnotism!
I'd love to join you for a fruit bar!
Hmm that fruit sounds nice. I dislike dairy, so fruit juices are very appealing.
Patience is a virtue. I am not always virtuous, LOL.
Okay, I'm one of the few non-sewers (is that a word) on this blog (although I do plan on trying my hand at some Christmas banners this year), and I am now curious because of this post.
There are many years of sewing wisdom gathered daily at this blog (which is amazing since the average age of the readers is obviously 29). So, have any of you ever put your heart and soul into a monogram, only to pull it away from the machine and notice a spelling error, or something similar that renders it un-giftable?
Ouch, picking out machine embroidery. I don't have an embroidery machine, but I have had to pick out a buttonhole I managed to place incorrectly. You have my sympathy on the frustration factor!
Enjoy the slower pace and the time spent relaxing.
The fruit does sound delicious. I am going to have to look it up. I hate that the healthier things are more expensive than the junk food.
Picking out embroidery would be an extreme pain. I feel for you. But it's over now.
Ohhh yes,the fruit does sound delicious! Perfect for summer time :)))Great, enjoy and relax time!

Now I just want a Popsicle . . . rootbeer is my fave *s*
I have yet to find fruit bars like these over here. In the south they were a staple in our freezer!
