Framed And Finished

I've had a matted print propped up against the back wall at my desk here in the Studio for a few years, I'd become accustomed to it's unframed state. I love the print, it's a Story People print by Brian Andreas, the text: "Whenever I go on a trip, I think about all the homes I've had and I remember how little has changed about what comforts me." A few weeks ago I happened to notice a 50% off coupon for framing at A.C. Moore in Sunday's paper. Oh, yeah; it was now or never! I knew what I wanted, a simple, red frame. Like a perfectly finished quilt, the binding is that last place to add a lively shot of color and finish the edge with style and panache; it's the same with framing a picture. It's done. Why did this take so long? Again, like finishing a quilt... never mind, all things in their own time!

Life is Good!

I love the print! Someone once told me "there is nothing so fatiguing as the endless hanging-on of an uncompleted task" I wrote the phrase in calligraphy, framed it, and hung it near by ironing board (one of my least favorite tasks, unless it has to do with a quilt). Congrats on the sense of completion!

It is a great print, and it looks wonderful in the frame and its pretty setting.

A wonderful feeling, something accomplished! And you have accomplished a few things: the picture in its frame looks great and your cupboards are a relief to a sore eye (i.e. the sore eye I get after looking at my heaps of scraps!). Can I book you?! Take care.

It looks like it 'goes' right there. And the red is perfect. Good work!

Cute! Yea I read you! Why do we take so long to do something so simple! One of life's unanswered questions I guess! Life is good!

My Mom used to say "all things in their own time." Your print was just waiting for the right frame! The red looks great. Doesn't a finish feel good though...

Hello! Laurie Ann sent me to visit you, and I'm sooooo glad I did! I love your wiener doggie - so cute! Also, I have that very same calendar above my desk!
I own 3 wiener dogs, and wouldn't have any other type of dog, even though I am a total dog lover!! They are just too special, aren't they?

Good job on getting it framed! Right now I am working on ordering prints from all my digital photos - it would be nice to have some real photos around instead of always looking at images on the computer!!! The red frame is perfect - even more so that you got to use a great coupon too!

Cheers!
