Never Forget
It's hard to tell in this photo, (click to enlarge!) I had to pull my car over and hurry to snap this shot on my way home from church today, each and every telephone pole along this rural road... mile after mile... has an American flag attached and waving! In front of every home, along rolling pasture land, even in front of this little country church were flags. We all remember where we were six years ago today when we learned the horrific news that we were under attack.

And as if the events of six years ago weren't enough to make us think about what's precious, the woman who sits beside me at work lost her 14-year-old son in a freak plane crash on 9-11-1983. I simply cannot imagine coping with the combination of those anniversaries...
That anniversary brings back a lot of memories. Where was I on that day? At the hospital, for hubby's pre op for 4-way bypass,Will never forget. God bless us each and everyone!
You know there are events that are just etched in our minds, never to be forgotten. This is one of them for me. As a Canadian, the day had a huge impact on our country. We were there, to help stabilize the chaos. Some memories are just hard to cope with! Keep well!
That day I had one son in Manhattan -- and it was his birthday, no less -- and the other son working on Capitol Hill. While of course I will always remember the horror, the panic, the worry, the sadness, I will also remember the countless phone calls we received from family and friends all over the country: "Are Tom and Andrew all right?"
Thanks for putting up such a beautiful reminder. It was on my mind all day this day. We did not lose anyone but the American way of life has been changed forever. We are a strong people and it will take much more than that to diminish the American spirit!
God Bless America!!
Everywhere nobody will never forget that day.
ciao
